"Millennia War" #6 NOW AVAILABLE!!!!!

YEE-HAW! (roflol)

My latest issue for the "Millennia War" series is now available on millenniawar.com & indyplanet.com!!!

The cover features the newest member of the MW fam, Taija... She appears to help out main character,Hannah, and the gang out of a tight spot, but will she stick around long enough to make their cause her own? Packed with action and big surprises, key characters begin to reveal their true roles in the major events that has come to pass. The line separating friend and foe is now being blurred and Hannah learns the hard way that the company you can keep can prove fatal.

Only a handful of people have purchased and read the latest installment so far before it hit the stores and online... Those who I knew personally went out their way to call me and tell me how much they love the direction the story is going, which gets me fired up even more to keep working hard.

Order your copy today from indyplanet.com and millenniawar.com!!!!

Metal Gear Solid 4 = Sexy

Merry Late Christmas! XD

My favorite day of the year has been gone for almost a week now and it's been even longer since I updated this blog. Shame on mwah. I got a few things for the big day, like a much desired PS3 from me mum and "MGS4" and "Heavenly Sword" from mah boyfriend. I got "Left 4 Dead 2", too, but opened that way last month, HAHA!!!

Okay on to the meat of things... MGS4!

First off, I've been lusting after this game for over 2 years now, when it was only being promoted through teasers flooded with hints and easter eggs Kojima is famous for. (I've even bothered to insert my own easter egg in one of the pics up above! I'll give you an easy hint: it's in the 4rth pic). Although the trailers were gorgeous, that's not the main thing that had me sold. The point that this was another "Metal Gear" game had my interests peaked. I told myself I would have that game as soon as it dropped June 12, 2008.

But when the economy decides to go crazy and you wind up without a job or steady freelance, you'll find yourself waiting over a year and a half... LIKE ME -_-

However, it's mine now, I have my copy, my "precious" (LOL) and here's what I think so far:

It rocks. Period.

I know I haven't even began to uncover most of the secrets and story as of yet but what I've played so far had me entranced and I can say with full confidence that I know the rest will live up to my exectations. Having beat all the games on the playstion formats (not nintendo) the previous story is still pretty fresh in my mind. So when the MGS4 references the earlier games in clever ways, I feel proud as a fan and gamer to be able to keep up. It's like I'm part of a lil club or something, I don't know LOL. One example is when Snake is first introduced to Akiba... their scenario played out identically to how when Snake first met Meryl in MSG1. "I'm no rookie!" LOL

Another major thing I LOVE is how early you can get the RPG for your weapon. I get ignorant with that thing LMAO. Aaaaaannnnd.... you can buy ammo for it whenever you want in the start menu as long as you have enough points from selling weapons to Drebin.

One thing that I find hilarious is that Colonel is now married to Rose, who was previously Jack/Raiden's girl. I haven't played long enough to find out how that came to past or even how Raiden may feel about it, LOL, but I shall see soon enough!

I've been a "Metal Gear" fan for 10 years now (got MGS1 Christmas of 1999) and always have a blast guiding Snake through his heart-pounding, jaw dropping missions. Now, after a 3 year haitus, we're back together haha! I'll say it again as Raiden said before, "Snake, I'm at your side."

Final Fantasy XIII

This is gonna be one sexy game O_O

My first experience with the legendary series stems from receiving "Final Fantasy III" on the SNES for Christmas when I was 9. Only, it WASN'T FF3 but actually FF6!!! The North American release for 6 was titled 3... weird, I know. With that game solidifying my undying love for this awesome series, I've played through all the games (except for 11; I only played a teeny bit of that one) and now have turned my sights to FINAL FANTASY XIII!!! HOO-WHAYAT!!!! O_O

Last month, while on LIVE, I downloaded the special announcement about 13 and saw when Square-Enix finally decided to drop the release date (they thought they were funny with the presentation of it all, clever Square-Enix) and I danced a dance of jubilee, gave me mum the highest of high fives, and together we watched and rewatched the trailers for the game. My boyfriend even took it upon himself to pre-order the game for me (thanx, luv) so now... all I have to do is wait. And wait. Oh me oh my...

I went to the official site for the game and saved a few wallpapers there, one being saved to my desk top right now. Honestly, I don't know if I'm gonna take to Lightning, the main gal of the game, but I'm trying to be open-minded. Not make any judgments before the game drops, y'know. The people behind FF7 and 10 are the team for this installment so that makes me look forward to it even more since those are 2 of my fave games in the series (and 6, 8, & 9). One thing that I really love is how FF constantly reinvents the summons (aeons, whatever you wanna call 'em)... in this game, Shiva is actually a set of twins that join together to form Snow's motorcycle. CRAZY! I posted a pic of her (er, them) mid-transformation, but you should watch the trailer to see it in action. Kinda freaky with how he sits on her, uh, the bike with her looking up at him like that... who y'all recruiting for the concept artist, Square??? O_O

All I know is once March 9th hits, I may go M.I.A. for a while... so to all my friends, don't take it personally, m'kay? LOL

Oh Em GEE!!!! O_O

YAY!!!

I'm a sugar gamer!!! *dances*

Okies... About me... the woman behind this computer screen, LOL...

My name is Ashley Woods, or "ash-potatoe", and I'm a indy comic book artist. Since I'm a huge fan of manga and anime, my work tends to reflect that as well. I've been published going on 4 years this coming March and have sold over a thousand copies of my comic, "Millennia War", along with my co-writer and good friend, Michael Smith II. I've traveled a bit selling my work at various cons and even abroad to Kyoto, Japan last November. My latest book, "Millennia War #6" is currently being printed and will be available for purchase off my site millenniawar.com in a few days so please look forward to it!

I have another blog, ashleyawoods.blogspot.com, where I post all mah artwork and such so feel free to visit that lovely place and leave pleasant comments! I'll also begin posting my art here, too, as well as blogging about what games I'm currently playing or looking forward to. Write back to me and tell me what games YOU like/ love/ hate (or what what game creators you'd like to hug / kick)... I wanna know! LOL!!!!
